About Art Nook SF

Art Nook SF was founded in 2025 by Najin, a working artist with an MFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She has exhibited her oil paintings in galleries and has formal training in drawing, painting, and design.
Her interest in education began while guiding her daughter and her friends in creative activities. Through this experience, she found meaning in watching children explore ideas and express themselves through art, which naturally led her to guide other young artists.
At Art Nook, we believe each artistic journey is unique. The studio offers a welcoming space where students of all ages can explore, create, and grow at their own pace. Each week, students work with a variety of materials, expanding their skills while discovering new ways to express their ideas. With thoughtful guidance, Najin supports steady development and artistic confidence, while leaving room for creative choice.
Balancing structure and flexibility is at the heart of her teaching philosophy and Art Nook SF.

Grades K - 5
Creative Art Studio
Exploring art through painting, drawing, printmaking, clay, miniature work, and more.
Our Creative Art Studio Class is a personalized after-school art program where each child’s creativity leads the way.
Students explore a wide range of materials and techniques, including acrylic painting on canvas, drawing with pencil, pen, and charcoal, printmaking, craft making, clay, and miniature-based projects. A strong emphasis is placed on material exploration, allowing students to experiment, combine media, and discover what resonates most with them.
The studio is organized into painting and craft stations each week, giving students the flexibility to work in both areas or focus more deeply on one that captures their interest.
All activities are individually guided and adapted to each child’s skill level, interests, and learning style. Whether a student is interested in developing technical drawing and painting skills, building small-scale works, or simply enjoying the process of making, each child is supported at their own pace.
Each project encourages confidence, skill-building, and creative growth in a warm, supportive studio environment where exploration and personal expression are valued.
*If a student has a specific subject they’d like to work on, families are welcome to share a photo ahead of time so we can help prepare for their project.
